Months after we learned about actor Jim Carrey becoming a grandfather, we're hearing that his daughter Jane Carrey has filed for divorce.
Jane Carrey and Alex Santana were married for about one year a
nd they have a nine month old son named Jackson together. According to Jim Carrey's rep, "the couple will remain friends, as well as devoted parents to their 9-month-old son, Jackson Riley" (via PEOPLE).
Going through a divorce can be (and usually is) very hard, especially when there is a child or children involved. Jim Carrey hasn't had many successful relationships, so his daughter may have not had the best outlook on marriage to begin with. Sometimes we try and recreate scenarios that our parents have been in. For this reason, many people with divorced parents end up becoming divorced themselves. However we cannot be ignorant to the fact the divorce is becoming an epidemic and it's very common in today's society.
We wish the best for Jane Carrey, Alex Santana and their son.
