Actor James Franco has had quite a year with a range of projects that include a stint on “General Hospital,†a supporting role in “Eat, Pray, Love,†and an appearance on the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning “30 Rock.†Despite his popularity this year, there’s one place you won’t see him: the set of the Twilight “Breaking Dawn†films.
James Franco, who has admitted he is a “Twilight†fan, recently told Jimmy Kimmel that he approached director Bill Condon for a role in the upcoming “Breaking Dawn†movies, but was turned down. Franco is in his glory right now in his acting career. Why would the “Breaking Dawn†director pass up the opportunity for a megastar like Franco to take a part in the movie? Could it be that Condon is overwhelmed by requests from big named celebs for a role? Perhaps he just wants to keep it simple with Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart as the only big stars of the movie. That's more than enough personalities to handle for now!
According to MTV News’ Hollywood Crush blog, James Franco may still be able to live out his “Twilight†dream through his upcoming hosting gig for the Academy Awards. The actor hopes to integrate a skit into the award show that will feature the stars of Twilight "Breaking Dawn". This seems like a great way to boost up the Oscars’ ratings! The teenage TV viewers demographic will surely tune into for a chance to see Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson poking fun at themselves and the films.
Do you think the Oscars and Twilight actors should give James Franco's idea a chance? Do you think Franco should have gotten a role in the "Breaking Dawn" films?
