Zahra Baker Possibly Raped, Dead Girl's Hearing Aids Found in Stepmother Elisa Baker's Jewelry Box

In the sealed search warrants that were made public this week, speculation is mounting that 10-year-old murder victim Zahra Baker may have been raped prior to her death.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the search warrants state that two men may have sexually assaulted Zahra Baker prior to her death. This is the first that the public has heard any mention of another party being involved in the little girl's abuse. Up until this came out, all fingers seemed to be pointing at Zahra's stepmother Elisa Baker, and her father Adam Baker.

The search warrants revealed gruesome details of Zahra Baker's death, and many of them were straight from the mouth of Elisa Baker, including the fact that bits of bone and blood would be found in the bathtub drain. And apparently that's exactly what investigators found when they searched there. The presence of bodily fluids on Zahra's mattress add to the speculation of a rape.

Yet another of these search warrants divulged that Zahra Baker's two hearing aids (the child had lost significant hearing as well as part of one leg due to treatments for two bouts of cancer) were found inside of Elisa Baker's jewelry box. This woman has got to be a complete idiot. First she wrote a fake ransom note when Zahra was reported missing, and she sits in jail at this very moment as a result of obstruction of justice charges brought against her when she admitted to writing it. Next, she led investigators to the locations where both Zahra's body parts and her prosthetic leg were found. Now we learn she had Zahra's two hearing aids in her jewelry box. It makes one wonder if investigators are simply dotting all their i's and crossing all their t's before arresting her either with Zahra's murder or as an accomplice to her death.

And then of course there's her father Adam Baker. While he recently made a public statement saying he would never have hurt his little girl by either sexually assaulting or murdering and dismembering her, he had to have had some knowledge of what was going on.

If Zahra Baker was in fact raped, then the horrors she suffered prior to her death at such a tragically young age are far worse than anyone had originally imagined. The fact that Elisa Baker had the murdered child's hearing aids in her jewelry box lends an air of twisted sickness that the average person cannot even begin to fathom.
