This is the kind of community that has a compassionate,  giving,  and helping others mentality. It is for this reason that Gather is giving you, the community a chance to help your fellow gather members. You and help in several different ways. You can nominate someone who is having a hard time. You can give just a few of your points to be added to other donations to help those who have been nominated. You can do both, nominate and donate. Do whatever you feel comfortable doing.
Â
Gather Gives Back for the Holidays! Nominate Gather Members in Need and Let’s Start Giving.
Â
This holiday season, you can gift your Gather PointsTM to fellow members in need, plus nominate members to receive a $250 donation and a Hallmark Gold Crown gift package just in time for the holidays.

Here’s how you can help make a difference:
DONATE

NOMINATE
To nominate a Gather member in need, send Stefanie Plum a private message on Gather with the name of the nominee and a description of that member’s situation. You both will remain anonymous.
HOW GATHER GIVES BACK
The Gather Team will select one deserving member from the nominations each week to quietly receive the $250 in gift cards or PayPal® cash. Each member will also receive a Hallmark Gold Crown gift package in the mail.

I saw your comment on the last Today post as well. I wish I could promote it directly but since it is off the gather site, I can't but I did direct people to her posts so they can read it for themselves. :)
Connie, I do hope to see you enter my WoW giveaway of Forever Becoming!
I have the book already. :)
Keep checking this week for the spotlights, you just may find a surprise. :) This entire week is devoted to spotlights of the members in the community in a different way. How do you like todays spotlights?
I will be doing some special spotlights this week. Make sure you don't miss any of them because you may be surprised. :) I am glad you stop in each day and do hope you find the posts helpful.
I try to not only let the community know of contests and winners but I try to keep everyone connected as well. :)
I am trying to catch up here. My mom's surgery went well. But she is still sick.
hoping the next 2 weeks she will feel better.
then more Chemo after that.
Ty for your wonderful posts and the links you share.
Bless you.
Off to read your post now.
How bad did the winter storm get in your part of Utah? It is so cold here. Are you a frequent visitor to all those spotlighted above?
I am glad you were able to visit the spotlighted members. I miss seeing you on my posts. I think of you often and hope you are doing well.
How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Hope you had an opportunity to check out those members who are spotlighted.
I just hope the worst of the storm holds off until after I get home from the Doctor. I don't want to be on the road during the worst of the storm. That 3 hour drive is not fun and that is 3 hours each way.
It is so good to see you. I have missed you. Glad you enjoyed thoese members in the spotlgiht today.
Anywho, thanks again for being such a lovely person Connie.
:-)
See we all care but we are all doing things at our own speed and time. :) We love ya girl!
Ruthi,
You are the best. :)
Okay, Ruthi, I forgive you. For now. Te he! I know you'll come when you're good and ready.
I have to go back on Friday to have the implant programed again. I am in hopes that it will help this time.
I bet your excited to get the implant programmed again. I pray that it will give you some relief.
Mom goes in for her last round of chemo tomorrow, but there is a good chance that she won't get it. Her counts are too low....we knew that from last week. She got pretty sick last week....it's hard to watch.
I am curious, why have you not had a tree?
I must admit that it is not the same decorating a tree and the home with the kids grown. They used to draw and color for weeks to decorate the house. I miss those pictures. I still have them but it is just not the same as them coloring them and bringing them to me to display.
Do you have time to come decorate our home now? Please!! I will give you a can of coke. :)
I hope you will begin to spend more time in the Gather community. We are still here. :) Hope to see more of you.
I hope December will be kind to you since the first eleven months of the year 2010 were so troublesome. Take care.
