Leslie Nelson dead at 84

...My heart aches at this loss.

...Leslie Nelson died today, 11/28/2010 of complications from pneumonia at his home in FT Lauderdale Florida surrounded by his family.

...The movie, "Forbidden Planet"is one of my favorite in the sci fi catagory.

If you remember the series "Lost In Space;" The robot had his first appearence in "Forbidden Planet.

...Of course, he stared in the TV Series, "Police Squad" from whice several great movies came from.

...I do not remember the name of the movie, but he played Clarance Darrow in a movie that showed that he was an excellent dramatic actor as well.

...It is time to stop calling him Shirley. But surely I will miss him.

He was a good dramatic actor, but he really came into his own when he started doing comedy parts. I was very sorry to hear this.
