Hunh. Dan/Harry looks rather tired....and the interviewer doesn't sound all that sympathetic. Where's the publicist to intervene?
Some actors get too deeply involved with their roles.....Mandy Patinkin left Criminal Minds (TV show where he played a profiler chasing serial killers) for that reason. The really brilliant actors (and Mr. Patinkin is certainly that) seem to have more trouble disengaging than others--they embrace the character to lend veracity to the story and wind up paying a heavy price.
Dan Radcliffe having been playing this same role since fairly early childhood; he may have issues that other actors who have played multiple roles for briefer periods do not.
I think that Dan actually knows who he is, Linda. I think that he will do fine out there in the muggle world. It's dry humor, but I like that brand. -)
Well, he certainly is a fine actor to have played that so believably--I truly thought he might be out of touch with reality.
I don't always spot the humor in British humour. I'm not dense--truly--but sometimes satire just doesn't register with me. On the other hand, I am no fan of slapstick either--definitely prefer Marx Brothers over Mo, Curly and what's his name.
