Winter is coming, ready or not! Today's clouds looked ominous.

Sure enough, tiny snowflakes became visible. A wee bit actually stuck to the ground, but only for minutes.

The snowflakes were tiny, but thick. Clouds hovered indecisively, loaded with snow, but pushed by wind.

As if to confirm Winter's arrival, a flock of geese arrived for a rest period before continuing on their southbound journey.

Nature gives wisdom to animals and these geese seemed to know that the time until winter is short.

After a very brief stay, the flock took to the sky and headed south.

A few reminders of summer remain, soon to be stored for next summer. Soon the lake will freeze.

This final photo feels like a reminder to be thankful for our many blessings. The harvest is in, larders stocked, fuel stored, woolies unpacked for winter warmth and bookshelves are stocked with winter reading. We are so richly blessed!
