So proud of my youngest daughter...she won a...

Last year my daughter Brittany had to do a project on how to protect pets during a natural disaster, her project won first place.

Today she was awarded with a certificate from a Pet Safety group, a woman who had been with FEMA, Newsday and then we met with the Suffolk County Legistlator and she was given a Proclamation. The legistlator has also discussed using her plan for the Suffolk County Emergency planning sites. ( I can't remember the exact site!)

When we went today we had no idea that it was the extent that it was. We met alot of people and they even want her to go to a conference. On the down side, since she wasn't prepared for what was happening today she had no speech ready! so when they asked for a few words she came up with the most hilarious things....she responded" I didn't write this to win an award, I wrote it to get an A". She got the "A". I am so proud of her.
