We’ve almost reached the middle of the month, and will have reached it before this thread is finished, so let’s take a minute to recap our commitments. How are you doing with the goals you set for the month? Are you accomplishing what you wanted to do despite the crap life is throwing at you? Are you establishing a routine that will take you beyond this month, or will you take a break when the month is over?
I’m going to give answer up here instead of down in the comments where my response belongs, because 1) It would make me first, and it is so not the thing to do to be the first to respond to one’s own thread; 2) This would be a very small article if I didn’t; 3) There is no three. One and two should be enough.
I’m still writing every day, averaging 2,189 words. According the NaNoWriMo people, at this rate I will finish on the 23rd. I’m also posting a blog a day, so I’m still living up to my NaBloPoMo challenge. I don’t have to deal with anything especially terrible, such as illnesses, just normal everyday unpleasantries, but I’m not letting them get in the way. It seems odd to be writing again, and even odder to be making it my priority. Of course, come December, I’m sure I’ll find plenty of excuses to get out of the habit again.
