Josh Duggar Reports He and His Wife are Going For 25 Children - Is There a Duggar Competiton?

As many have heard, Josh Duggar, the eldest of the famous Duggar clan of 19 children has announced that he and his wife Anna are expecting their second child.

In a typical Duggar tradition, the couple have no plans to stop at two children. “We’re going for 25!” Josh joked.

Joke or not, that statement alone would make mouths drop. In a struggling economy where having two in many cases is pushing the financial limit of most families, joking about having a number of children in the double digits let alone in the 20s is insane.

The fact of the matter is that Josh claims there's no family competition to have the most children, however, as many know the family does not believe in birth control. This couple is very young with many child bearing years ahead of them. It's quite possible they will have a clan bigger than their parent one.

As for how they will support the number of children they wind up bearing through the years, Josh says “We trust in God that he will only give us what we can handle.” Trusting in God is fine and dandy, but many people across the nation trust the same way only to find they fall on hard times and face welfare options to get through the month. There's a lot to be said for trusting in God, but there's also a lot to be said for using birth control to assure your children are able to have the love and care they so rightfully deserve.

Anna is suffering like most early trimester mothers to be with morning sickness. Despite that, she reports to Radar Online that she's “so excited” to have a large family. “I’m thankful to have as many children as God wants me to, but nothing is guaranteed,” Anna said. Anna clearly had planned to have more children as she admitted that she was buying cute maternity clothes when she found them on sale.

“I know that having a second baby is a greater responsibility but I’m looking forward to Mackynzie having a little brother or sister.” Anna is currently 10 weeks pregnant, and it's still too early to know the gender of the newest Duggar. The couple is considering keeping with a M name scheme as the Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar chose a J name theme for their brood.

Wonder how long it takes until the family has used up the entire alphabet for their kid's name themes? They already have 19 out of the 26 letters covered, should each child stick with a similar tradition.
