Reps for Nick and Vanessa released a statement to US Magazine stating, "We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together.†The couple has been dating longer than anyone expected. They began dating shortly after Nick and ex-wife, Jessica Simpson split in 2006. Nick also took to Twitter to announce the engagement. He tweeted, “I popped the question on bended knee. I do a lot of squats so my knees are very strong.†Uh okay, Nick!
The couple is open to starting a family, well Nick is. Last November, Nick told an Atlanta radio show, “I definitely want to be married again. I want family and kids and all that stuff. In the right timing, there will be all that good stuff." Cute!
Vanessa currently serves as a judge on the reality show, “True Beauty†and Nick is the host for “Sing-Off.†Since not many people have heard of "Sing-Off", we can assume that Nick will be staying home with the kids! Either way, best of luck to the happy couple!
