What I learned going door to door.

I have spent the last 2 days going door to door. What I learned is this. After my intro, I immediately ask them how they liked all those attack ads this year? You realize that the Supreme Court did get rid of all the rules last year?

No I wasn't!

You know what happens to a fight with no rules, the fight becomes a brawl and this what happened with our election.

Don't you agree we need more regulations on conduct! (Wait for an answer)

Unfortunately the Republican's filibustered the bill that would do just that, because the USCOC told them too. You know who the USCOC is?

Do you know that 4.6 billion dollars were spent on ads this year.

Don't you think that is a total waste of money? Think of the jobs that corporations could have made with that money.

You know of the attack ad that claims that Democrats cut 550 million from senior Medicare benefits. They didn't. What happened is that Democrats got rid of 550 million dollar of corporate padding that every senior was paying for. Every senior had to pay, I believe, an extra $90 a month in corporate padding. This padding had put Medicare in the red and would have ruined Medicare for seniors. Can you understand why Health insurance companies would have this ad out against Jack Conway, Ben Chandler and Democrats.

Take the Bush tax cuts,  did you know that the Bush tax cuts adds another 770 million to our deficient? And the benefit that the Congressional Budget Office estimates is only 100 million. 770 million into the riches folks pockets and you only get 100 million in job creating benefits back. This is what trickle down theory is! Did you know that the Republican's have  held hostage the Small Business and Middle Class tax cuts for those fiscally sound -NOT- trick down  Rich Man's tax cuts this summer. Could you use some help?

How does that make you feel?

You hear about what a big waste the stimulus was right, but I do research and did you know about the buy US only rules in the stimulus. I know as a fact that before the stimulus bill there was no US made microscopes. Now there are 3 microscope companies in the US. The Stimulus bill is actually bringing back business to the US!

Yes, Tarp was bad that we bailed out the "to Big to fails" but did you know that the Banks had to pay 8% back to the US. We made a lot of money and now that money is being re-used to save folks homes under the Home Affordable program and make college loan affordable now too.

Who do you think was a more fiscally sound president? Ronald Regan or Bill Clinton? Bill Clinton!

Who do you think was more fiscally sound president? George Bush or Obama? Obama is. remember George Bush inherited a surplus and turned that into a big deficit. While Obama inherited a deficit and a mess and is solving and decreasing it.

This is an example of what I said, but I found that if I ask What do you think of the attack ads? as a lead in question I found a more receptive person. And even those who were Rand Paul leaning I could make my points to.  All except for 2 times.
