Well, I met Apolo Anton Ohno on Thursday night at a book signing! I got automatically put at the front of the line for being gimpy (was still using the crutches at that point) which was nice.
Unfortunately, it was a really efficient, in-and-out sort of signing, so chatting with him was limited to, “Hi, how are you?” “Thanks!” and the like. Ahh, well, at least I got an exciting photo with him!
He’s been doing two book signings a day, from the sound of things, so I guess I can’t blame him for not being particularly chatty, hah.
And does it come as a surprise to anyone that 90% of the people there were female? ;)
