A sex offender walked up to reporter during a broadcast and surrendered on live T.V. In an extraordinary turn of events, Valentino Rodriguez Jr. turned himself in to Eric Spillman.
"One of two Southern California registered sex offenders who removed their ankle monitors and disappeared surprisingly surrendered to KTLA reporter Eric Spillman during Thursday's live broadcast," according to the Huffington Post.
Rodriguez said he was scared and paranoid, so he cut off the GPS tracking device with a scissor. Maybe this will turn out well for Rodriguez if the judge sees, as Rodriguez points out, he mans up.
He seems sincere enough in the video, and hopefully he will turn his life around and become a productive citizen. He is on parole, so this can't be good that he cut off the device, but the trust that he shows for Spillman is heartwarming, and all our best for Rodriguez.
