Well, I said I'd keep you updated when I did another food change for our health. Last night I decided I was going to have spaghetti and I knew I didn't want to use any ground beef since we can't eat any unless it is real lean. The meat I have in the freezer is organic and very lean but I decided I'd try chicken. I was going to chop us chicken breast into small pieces or put the spaghetti and sauce on top of a grilled chicken breast but when I ran to Kroger I found a deal. They had White Honeysuckle turkey breast ground up marked down to $3.56 for a bit over a pound. I got two packages and tried it last night.
I cooked the turkey and then broke it into very small pieces and added it to the spaghetti sauce to top the spaghetti. It tasted so good!!! We had company and they even said it was delicious.
The last turkey burger I tried to cook, I couldn't eat it after I fixed it but this was delicious! So we ended up with a very good supper after all.

Yes, indeed, the healthy foods are extraordinarily expensive......it's just unreal.
Turkey burgers - one egg and extra bread crumbs to absorb excess moisture. I don't make mine flat like hamburger patties but more like mini meatloafs, browning on both sides in the fry pan with a lid. Takes about fifteen minutes at the most.
Meatloaf, again one egg and some extra bread crumbs.
When I use ground beef I'd have to add a little milk to the mixture but never in ground turkey since it is so moist to begin with.
I still use ground beef for tacos but don't see a whole lot of difference between the two.
They sell flavored ground turkey also, I picked up a Cajun by mistake one time ;(
also in my meatloaf,, 1 part turkey 1 part pork and 1 part hambuger
