Recently a young woman suffered injuries while standing up for what she believes in. Lauren Valle did not have to go to the Rand Paul rally, but she felt it was important enough to try to get her message heard over the lies of the Teabaggers and Republitards. She was trying to get into position for a photo op when she was knocked down by men, physically bigger than she, and purposely stepped on.
The video recording of what happened to her shows more than her hoped-for photo could have when it comes to defining the Teabaggers' ethics and morals. A photo would have opened up a dialog as to just how owned by corporations, like the Koch brothers, the Republican candidates are. Instead, we've seen just how barbaric this Teabagger Party operates.
It also brings me to ask the rightwing: What cause would you risk your safety for?
Would you take a kick, a punch, or a tackle for any of YOUR candidates? Do you love the wealthy and their corporate holdings so much that you'd go to jail so they can continue business as usual. You know their business- shipping jobs overseas so Americans will work for next to nothing, polluting and raping the world's resources because they think they live above the mess, and making sure they have money in their pockets before you get the health care you need.
The Teabag Movement has been exposed in a way its followers should be able to understand. The stupid shit that falls out of the mouths of their candidates is lost on them. Defaced photos of President Obama and our First Lady, even ones that depict lynching, are high comedy to these folks. Now we have a moving picture that shows the hositlity and brutality this group believes is their right to use to get their way.
Do we even want to guess what may have happened to Ms. Valle had she been born a black woman taking up the MoveOn cause?
And please tell me, especially those of you who constantly feel the need to remind us someone died for your sins, what cause, candidate, or movement would you risk your physical shell for?

I dont care what side you are on we as a country needt to stop and take a deep breath. When we are not only allowing violence between different political factions but justifying it then we are headed for real problems.
We are losing our humanity and without that you might as well turn off all the lights because it doesnt matter who gets elected to what position our country wont be worth a plugged nickle.
When I think about had this guy instead of smashing her head in would have pulled down his pants and raped her ya know cause she is a liberal and that translates into a dike and he was trying to convert her...would these same people be just as lienent and cheered on his actions? Unfortunatley I think they would have.
They wouldn't need such fancy rationale. Rape has been considered an appropriate act of war for millennia.
I can remember when those who identified truly by the conservative label were not people to be afraid of. They were just "uptight."
Assault crosses a line. What IS wrong with people who have no problem with what happened? Don't they have sisters or daughters?
I don't believe they had any right to touch her in anyway. I'm wondering why these folks didn't just create a human shield to protect their candidate from one small woman. I'm not very tall and I can say that in a crowd situation, it's very easy to block someone's view and access to what they're trying to see.
(And I'm talking to you 6 ft. + bastard who wouldn't let me stand in front of him to see Rob Zombie's show.)
(I mean sues, ha ha ha)
She didn't have to be there? That's right. She doesn't live in KY, she lives in DC.
And the video does not show the man stomping her head. He put his foot on her shoulder and when he was asked to move it he did immediately.
In case you haven't noticed, attack ads are all over the airwaves. MoveOn tends to use satire and parody to get their point across. If Rand Paul is such a delicate little flower that he can't deal with the muck and mire of politics, maybe he should certify himself as such and retire to a botanical garden.
They were supporters, EM JAY. Do you really think that every candidate knows every supporter they have? Seriously?
Now provide a link to this footage of the MoveOn guy choking someone so we know you're not making up some b.s. This is the first I've heard of it.
And yes, it is clearly visible where he put his foot on her upper back and neck and then stomped on her.
Why because I am treating Marilyn the way you are treating this young lady?
You know this was not about an abusive relationship.
So are you saying that committing assault against a stranger is somehow better than doing it to someone you do know?
The woman was advancing on the candidate at was pulled down and detained.
No she wasnt she was assaulted because she disagreed with the majority of the people there.
I would not have done it that way but that is what happened, so get over it.
Yet you agree and support it so that makes you just as bad.
What about the moveon.org guy who was caught on tape choking someone who disagreed with him at a rally so why aren't you up in arms about that?
This article isnt about that incident and if that did happen I would be just as outraged. Plus why are you so willing to excuse someones criminal behavior because another person committed the same offense?
Is it ok for him to choke someone as long as he is a far lefty? Seems like you have a perverted sense of false outrage.
No I dont agree with violence of any kind unlike yourself. But the one thing I do agree with is you do have a perverted sense of outrage.
You should read your buddy, Kenny's comments. He verbally wishies for my death and actually asks me to end my life. Maybe you should lecture him instead of me.
Please point this out to me Thomas. As I said I dont condone violence of any sort directed at anyone.
Shandi, part of the problem with that "she asked for it" attitude is found in Christianity. My fundie ex-mother told my ex-husband it was okay to smack me around because "sometimes she gets mouthy." Never mind he was a foot taller and a hundred pounds heavier than me. I wasn't being a submissive woman so violence against me was a-okay.
Why am I not surprised none of the baggers in attendance have totally ignored the question I posed in the article?
That she is has been at other rallies and has been photographed at them makes her identifiable. That happens at rallies - you run into people you met at previous gatherings. Here's a question- Should the hired hands on a candidates' campaign be looking through photos to identify people from groups, especially when the group has no reputation for violence?
But, I don't think it really counts. Not really.
Wilka
You mean she had been beaten before at Tea Party events? Is it standard procedure there? I'm referring to the whacking reference.
However, 'reasonable force' needs to be considered.
I feel it's obvious from watching the tape, the foot to the shoulder and kick to the head after the woman was being held down by others was delivered vindictively. He gives one 'push' before he walks off, as if to say "Take that!"
I think more shocking than the assault is the lack of response from Paul and the republicans, denouncing the use of unreasonable force against people we disagree with.
This is about bullying. Children can see this man assault the woman and this his behavior is OK. Children can then feel entitled to bully other children who they deem 'different.'
Just from the tape, I'd think in a civil society, the man would be arrested for assault. If two police were holding down a woman and another cop came over and kicked her in the head on tape, I'd sure there'd be some sort of investigation at least.
And yes, this is bullying. Even if Tim Profitt had been born Timbalina Profitt and was 98 lbs. soaking wet, when you kick a person who is being restrained and has no way to defend him/herself, that is chickenshit bullying at it's finest.
It is okay for her to drop her little turdlettes of lies all over other people's articles, but you can't refute her turdlette posts with comments containing truth pellets and links to facts that dispute her B.S.? Why is that?
So, here's what I decided.
1) We have to ask Gather to post the information on WHO WROTE THE POST when our friends comment on someone's article. Personally, I would never intentionally follow anyone's links to one of Marilyn's articles, cause, you know.....why bother? BUT, it does irritate me that she drops a bu11$hit bomb on somebody elses work; and then runs back to her protected posts.
2) If Manic Marilyn ever comments on any of my posts in the future, I'm going to just delete them without reading them. TIT for TAT, as it were.

I'll allow people to show their incredible ignorance over and over again - partly for my own amusement, and if someone wants to be rude to another person - fine, but that person must live with the consequences or return of the same. No skin off my butt.
But people who lie, defame, and endanger others with their words (talking to the anti-vaxers here) - we should feel free to delete those words from our posts.
Wilka
Best line of the post. They should all be embarrassed and then arrested. No one has the right to assault another person -- not even pretend, tough, security people securing candidates from The People.
(Hi Kenny.)
Here is an excerpt:
what a troubled world the teabaggers must live in; maybe that's why they are filled with such violent ideas. they're angry at the world and taking it out on the rest of us.
Wilka
Luv them flags. To me, it's a sign of cowardice.
Wilka
I like the orange tabby. Anyone who could flag a cute kitty for hate speech...
I really enjoy the defense for the Paulgoon. It's kind of like "she was asking for it" in rape cases.
I was once blamed for getting smacked around. I know I said some shit, but I was very certain I did not ask to be physically abused.
