I am so glad you were able to stop in. Are you going to be running another contest soon?
I might do another contest next month. I don't know. Straw People will be out soon, plus I'm going to start work on my next project.
How are you doing? I was really glad to hear that you are getting more active in your community activities. I have worried about you since you lost your husband. I know he was the star of your life.
Congrats to the winners!
Counting down the days to surgery.
You know I really think these drug addicts are really "hurting" the people who have real pain management issues!! My doctor up and quit!! He is no longer around and I am told I will have to drive (Guy will have to drive me), up to a hour for another pain management doctor..... ridiculous!!
You do get the pain management news letter? I get it mailed here and it does have techniques , ideas , contact information that kind of stuff.
AND people wonder why we can be testy hu? I sure hope you get this under control!! Sometimes, and I think you can relate.... I hate waking up!! Guy says you wake up so fast, well du! Like I am sure you are, I hate telling him... whining you know?
I can not wait for it to happen for either for you. You are going to feel so much better! You will be booging down the street, you just wait and see :0)
When I am in the hospital I do have the pump so I can give myself pain meds but I live in a small town.
We drive 3 hours to my pain specialist.
The Neuro-Stimulator is not working at all now. In fact they turned it off. They are going to put in a new one and maybe two. they are going to be adding 10-12 leeds to my brain. I just want the pain to go away.............
The other night I saw a NP. She would or could not give me the amount of meds that I need to even faze me. I had to go back in two hours because it did NOTHING for me. I told her that I could not keep coming back for many reasons... it just prolonged the pain, I need relief and my insurance is not paying for the ER.
I do know what you mean. My poor husband works 12 1/2 hours each night. He then has to take me to the ER. He is doing all the cooking and cleaning. He can't continue to do this and it breaks my heart. I am of no use to him at this point. That brings on the depression and anxiety. It is a cycle that just keeps going around. I hate it. I am helpless and I hate how I feel. I cannot stand this pain much longer.
Surgery on the 8th of NOV
At times it just feels like who cares, if others went through all of this they would than understand. People have a hard time understanding that which they have never experienced. Even those in the medical community grow hardened to the people who come to them for help. I feel, this is when these people need to find another profession..... like that is going to happen.
Just think happy thought, positivity. There are reasons I poof from this computer. Over on twitter many of my connections put up quotes of positivity. One man is deformed from being burned, he is a source of great positivity! He has such a great way of looking at things.
I am still trying to get rid of this cold, but felt a bit better (finally) this morning...
Tonight is grocery shopping and pumpkin carving, tomorrow is trick-or-treat and author chat :)
I am still in July . . . are you sure it is almost November?????????????
Our daughters always loved Spirit week too.
I would love to see some photos of "wacky hair day". That sounds like so much fun
Thanks for the spotlight too.
The pain is not easing up the last few weeks at all. It is staying at a minimum of 8. Last night I could not even walk. I was in so much pain. This surgery cannot come soon enough for me. I have got to get some relief soon.
Anywho, I'm feeling sick this week. Not fun.
I am so sorry that you are not winning any contests. I really am. I know that many members do not enter the contests for the same reason as you but I can't stress this enough. . . "You can't win if you don't enter". I know that is not a comfort to you when you continue to feel like it is a popularity contest but don't give up. You can't give up. You have to keep entering. Someday you will get an email saying that you won.
You are not the only ones who are not winning. There are only a few members chosen to win with each contest. That mean there are lots of people who do not win. I choose to not think of them as losers though. Because in my book all of you are winners even if you don't win a contest. :)
With my heatlh the way it is right now, there is not much I can do. So I would take it as a personal favor if you would let me help you by listening. :)
Where have you been? I have missed you. You weren't in Costa Rica were you? :) Good to see you. Hope all is well with you.
Thanks for keeping up updated!
She was not named until after she was born.
Glad you enjoyed the post.
