Who is wise? Who can advise?
How can I tell truth from lies?
Where do I turn with my questions now?
Does anyone know why or how?
Parents are gone, teachers aren't near
Problems arise
Though peers are dear
They don't have the answers
It's out of my sphere
I ponder, feel all alone
I pray and sleep
With faith to reap
Solutions that make themselves known

i like your poem...could trim some of the "small" words to make the point stronger... the idea is great!
Thanks for your input. I just pared it down as much as I think I could. The idea is still there and the answer will hopefully appear.
Never a question to form
It would be a fate worse than hell and damnation
Granny, You'd wish you'd never been born
( having written that, yours definitely was a great post)
They don't know the answers" That's a hard lesson for many.
I have no critique of this effort. It is well-packaged and quite substantive. Kudos!
Never expected that I would lose one at 20, the other in my 40s, and I am resolved my kids will not go through this.

Truly, excellent work and an instant favorite for me :o) As always...
wishing you laughter
I love the Gibran quote. I always told my students that good writing starts with one's own voice.
