“Twilight†fans know Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen, the head of one of the most popular vampire families in the entertainment industry today. With three movies already behind him, and a fourth on the way, Facinelli has recently been discussing his upcoming role as Bella’s in-house doctor during her pregnancy, as well as grandfather to her child.
Facinelli gave a brief, if not telling, interview on PeopleTV about this upcoming role, and how it affects his role as a real-life dad. He says his two older daughters have seen all three “Twilight†movies, and are looking forward to a fourth. His youngest has seen the first two, and will have a chance to see the third installment “Eclipse†when it’s released on DVD on December 4. Facinelli told PeopleTV that the fourth installment, “Breaking Dawn,†will have some surprises that were not in the book, according to his script, and he’s looking forward to filming the movie. The video also shows some video and pictures from the movie. “Breaking Dawn†will be split into two installments, scheduled to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011, and November 16, 2012. The year in between is likely to cause a lot of tension and yearning for “Twilight†fans everywhere.
Facinelli can also be seen on the Showtime series “Nurse Jackie,†where he plays Dr. Fitch Cooper, a smug Ivy League doctor who leaves the nurses to clean up after him.  If you watch the series, you see a whole other side to Dr. Cullen that’s definitely not portrayed in the movies. The two characters are like night and day, and show off the talents of this new Hollywood star. The show is currently on hiatus after its second season.
