I just discovered Swagbucks gives you 50 points on your birthday. This is definityely worth knowing.
Today's my 61st. (Wierd!)
Anyway, that was just enough to put me over the top to get a $5 Amazon gift certificate. So, nice little present.
I'm taking Wednesday and Thursday off, but not today. I may go up to Cahokia Mounds or Lewis and Clark State Historic Site and do some interviews (depends if the guy I need to talk to is in), then continue up to Alton and visit my mom.
Don't really have any firm plans although I was pleased at the way my last two days off last month at this time worked out. At that time I went to Fort de Chartres and did some interviews (on about six upcoming events which I'll provide to a state radio service at $20 each, for a total of$120 over the coming year (multiply that by what I get from Cahokia and Lewis and Clark) and the next day I went to Cahokia, climbed Monk's Mound and visited the gift shop, then went up and visited mom. Then that weekend was the free American Ghost Society fall festival which had a big turn-out so will undoubtedly be held again next year.
Maybe I'll spend a bunch of time putting stuff on eBay. I neglected that over the weekend though I did take a bunch of photos yesterday for listings.
Hope everyone is having a good one. Let's hear it for Monday! ($%@##@!)
Also need to do some writing for AC and Gather...been neglecting both.
I'll be busy tomorrow, for sure, though today doesn't look bad. Tomorrow I have an hour long interview with a lady I regularly interview on her new book. She wants to post my interview on her website. Then tomorrow night, the local hospital board meets and that's always a lot of laughs. That's where you learn the meaning of the word "comatose." I can't hear much of what's going on...terrible acoustics and half of the boardmembers have their back to me...and it's dry. A martini this dry would cut your throat. But that's the job. Then back to the office for some work and I can relax.
