Kanye West has released his latest music video for the song Runaway.
The music video is more like a short film and was directed by the rapper himself. West chose model Selita Ebanks (you may know her from The Celebrity Apprentice) as the leading lady for his video. Ebanks is rescued from a fire by West himself.
The 34 minute video is kind of weird but West offers some light on the confusion. He tells MTV News, "I wanted every girl I ever been in a relationship with to feel like a piece of her was being represented. And even for my mother to feel like a piece of her was being represented when she sees this. [It's] just for females to connect with the different emotions, and also it's a representation of creativity and just being different. Like that main point, the world knocks the wings off of the phoenixes and turns them to stone."
Leave it to Kanye West to do something like this that will wow some of us and lose the rest. He's struggled this year with finding peace with himself and even talked about his past of suicidal thoughts.
What do you think of West's new music video aka short film?
