Well, well, well professional college football analysts you’re so called un-tested Michigan State Spartans took to the road today. They set off to face the Northwestern Wildcats in their first out of state game on the season. The big road game was a true test of the Spartans BCS ranking, coming into the day at number seven.
The game started out very quickly in Northwestern's favor following the spark from Wildcats Quarterback Dan Persa who ran for three touchdowns on the day. Michigan State found themselves trailing the entire game and looking to prove the analysts right….they were obviously un-tested.
Spartan football was reborn on Ryan field as B.J Cunningham made a circus catch for the go ahead score, and the 25 yard end zone dash by Eric Gordon put some distance between the teams.
In the end Dan Persa was trying to bring his team back when he threw an interception sealing the Spartan victory. Well I personally think that if you go on the road and play that poorly for two and a half quarters score 28 points in the second half to win a tough road game, you are now tested. We’ll all see if Michigan State can continue its winning ways on the road again facing ranked opponent Iowa next Saturday.
