Have been thinking lately concerning all the Corperate secret money being funneled into the campaign ads for the GOP and Democratic and supposedly Tea-Party candidates, lately due to the SCOTUS ruling.
What I notice is that all that Corperate money is STILL pouring into the TWO SAME OLD, USUAL political machines, and I also notice that NO such money is pouring into the ACTUAL Libertarian Party.
The LIBERTARIAN PARTY is not being funded in this manner, but the GOP/Republican Party (touting a very few Libertarian ideals and ideas) is, as if Republicans are interchangable with Libertarians as a conservative alternative, which they are not, AND the Democatric Party (touts a very few civil liberty talking points) as if it is interchangable with the Libertarian Party as the socially liberal individual/civil liberties party, which it is not.
Is the GOP/Republican Party and the Democratic Party, doing this just to syphon off the actual Libertarian voter away from the Libertarian Party, and the same with those who like to call themselves Independants, and social Liberals?
The Libertarian Party has ALWAYS been socially Liberal, Constitutionally, civil rights oriented, and simutanously fiscally-small government/free-market, advocates, yet no big money openly nor secretly is being funneled their way.
Why is this?
Something to think about as the Democrats, GOP, and Tea Party Independants, and both Liberals, and Conservatives often speak about, "following the money" to make political decisions as to whom to trust, and who is the bought-off, corrupt Party.

I used to understand the thinking, but now I'm seeing that what's actually been happenning is that the Dems, and the GOP have been splitting up/syphoning off the Libertarian vote between themselves, while promoting themselves to both sides that they are the acceptable alternative to a Libertarian. And big money has been spent to sell that idea.
Between politics and Corporations, they have become Merchants of Human Suffering.
I think a viable third party would be a good thing but it has to be viable first.
The hooks that both these party's use that the people actually like is from the Libertarian Party.
And Gail, Ralf Nader didn't cause that. Voter/election fraud did.
And I would respectfully disagree on Nader -- I didn't say he caused the problem, I said he gave the the Supreme Court the opportunity to rule. Had he not taken 20% of the vote, the election result would not have landed in in the SC.
I'm just saying a third party won't happen 'til one is a viable org.

The way the system is set up it's almost impossible to make any headway as an outsider, whether you try to run in one of the major parties or a third party. All politicians have one thing in common, desire for re-election. Over the years the rules ave been tweaked to favor them sharply.
The Libertarian Party has ALWAYS been socially Liberal, Constitutionally, civil rights oriented, and simutanously fiscally-small government/free-market, advocates, yet no big money openly nor secretly is being funneled their way.
Why? The LP candidates do not promote welfare. Particularly corporate welfare.
The people have been divided into two main camps, one that primarily values social freedom, and another for economic freedom. Nowadays, both camps are getting little of what they think they're supporting. But why should liberty be divided in the first place?
There will be a totally new group in power... one that most of you won't like at all.
There may come a day when the 3rd party is able to scalp enough from both of the other two parties that it becomes a majority. But none have come even remotely close so far.
Not impossible but so far, not probable.
In the past I would have to say there is nothing on can do to protect themselves from the TV ads, but do you own ads and that is expensive! But today we have social networks and Twitter and now tech savvy candidates may have a low cost solutions to the TV ads if they get out the word of where to find their responses.
In this election, Republican Candidates used their Facebookand Twitter accounts.

Justin supports the US Consititution and he votes accordingly, regardless of what his fellow "R"'s vote. He is not swayed by their arguements, and is not owned by anyone. He is 100% TRANSPARENT and reports to HIS CONSTITUENTS on every vote he makes.
You will see much more of this kind of person being elected as time goes on and people get sick of the hype and lies of those being bought off. These people work for us, and as such, they should ANSWER TO US and not anyone else.
