On paper it looked like the New York Yankees should be returning to the fall classic to try to win back to back titles. But after the first two games against the Texas Rangers, this series looks like it's going the distance! And dare say, the Rangers might be in the driver's seat.
Game three has the Texas Rangers throwing out their ace Cliff Lee, who has been a post season wizard. Lee has been un-hittable in his post season career, and if the Rangers could pull the upset tonight, they may have the inside track on this series.
If the New York Yankees lose, will they still pitch up and down A.J. Burnett? More concern than that, the Yankees gave up five runs in game one, and seven runs in game two! That is not going to win a series.
The Yankees have their post season ace going tonight in Andy Pettitte. Pettitte, like Lee, has been money in October MLB baseball.
Historically, game three's seem to have a big significance behind them. The winner of game three, when a series is tied 1-1, go on to win the series 69% of the time. This will be an exciting game tonight in the Bronx!
