Photo of the Day - Day 2 - Pick tomorrow's theme...

Yesterday was Day 1 for my new series andÂ by popular vote you chose "candid shots" for today's theme.

(To keep itÂ interesting forÂ you and a challenge for me, I thoughtÂ it would be fun, if youÂ pick the theme for tomorrow's photo.)

The Art Walk in St. Petersburg, Florida takes place every second Saturday of the month.Â It's a self-guided tour of downtown galleries with free wine and cheese while you browse all the art galleries. We were surprised to find several painters at their easel, right there on the sidewalk on Central Avenue, downtown, outside the participating galleries.

I saw a lovely hibiscus bloom looking out my window this morning and since it's gardening season this will be an easy one for me, I don't need much prodding for gardening or photographing:)

Mary, work?:) hmm - I wonder if they are still working on that bridge, a six pack with a hard hat might be a nice relief for the eyes:)

I love it when a shot leans toward looking like a painting. Bird of Paradise - that might require a trip to the Florida Botanical Garden, well actually I just took one while I was out and about - we'll see.

I did not want to state the obvious, but it seems someone played a prank on the lady in this shot by putting superglue on the end of her paint brush. As you can see, she's stuck and worried about the bird of paradise.

This is so painterly that it reminds me of Vermeer. He liked to paint women near a strong light source.
