Scam Warning!! 877-591-7732

Have any of you received this call? Someone calls saying he has tried numerous times to contact us, has left messages and we have ignored his calls. Now he is going to have to proceed with legal action without our input. It's a very harrassing & kinda scary message. He purposely calls after hours and tells you you MUST call back within normal business hours to resolve the problem. He NEVER says who he is calling for. Never states what type of problem it is.

At first I thought perhaps it was another bill collector looking for someone with a similar name to my husband's. We have had numerous collection demand notices, car repo guys, etc all looking for someone with a similar name. But, because this one seemed to odd, I decided to look it up and found a site where TONS of people are complaining about calls from this number that are all saying it's a scam. I'm so glad I checked.

Apparently when you call, they try to get your Social Security number as well. Makes me wonder if they are trying to steal identities.

If I got it I do not not answer it. I also would not respond, because I would know it was not legitimate. Thanks for the warning, though. I am sure it is helpful, and I like that you found that website.

telemarketers are about all that call the home phone number here....I don't answer the home phone...besides it's not in my name. We all have cell phones, so if it's someone for me, they can call me on it......

Most callers for those types of detail are for purely scamming - have been taken for all of that as well and I was told not to worry bout it - about any of it - yeah, right!? Thing is the norm these days, as they can make calls and request such info and maybe set up things all without your knowledge - even using the internet gives them the info they want when they want it - ip addresses and direct connection to that physical address is apparently not that hard to find - everyone is exposed to such things, to a hacker it is paradise and for those who believe in its eldorado or your downfall - on the whole its the police that need to know all of these things am sure - but are you going to take on the big company names and their so-called genieuses at work? Am ranting, thanks for sharing, try to keep your info for yourself and only give it to those who need it -))

My husband has received many of these calls - and they have even called people that he had listed on an application as a reference. We have told them to cease and desist as well as reported to the police and the BBB. They use a different American sounding name everytime they call even though they obviously are not American.

We always let our answering pick up and screen our calls. If the person does not leave their name and purpose of the call than we will not return the call. (atws)

Never give your social security number out to someone who called you. or any personal information. But remember your number is being sold for 5 bucks on the internet anyway. thank you for posting and remaining on topic

I have received several of these calls and i always ignore them. I was rather fishy to me when the call comes after hours but they want you to call back during regular business hours.

that one has missed me so far, but as soon as i answer and its no one i want to talk to I tell them in no uncertain terms NOT TO CALL ME AGAIN, then I hang up
