Porn actor tests HIV positive - The end of porn?

A California porn actor tested HIV positive, could that be the end of porn? On Tuesday, Wicked Pictures and Vivid Entertainment both shut down as a precaution when the test revealed the porn actor was HIV positive. According to ABC News, the companies are "scrambling to find partners who may have been exposed by the actor."

The gender and identity of the adult porn actor has not been released.

This isn't the first time an adult porn star has been tested positive for HIV. Last year, a woman tested positive immediately after making an adult film. There was also a brief HIV outbreak in 2004 shutting the industry for a brief time.

I just hate to hear that. I think of the hook-ups she's had and wonder how many people lives one screw can screw.

Very sad, but when you engage in a high risk profession it comes with the territory. As long as easy money can be made by exploiting sex, these risks will contiue.

Why can't California pass a law that ALL porn actors must use condoms? I'll bet one cannot smoke cigarettes on a porn set
