The Jonas Brothers have canceled one of their Mexico shows for security reasons.
"Concert promoter Live Nation says the Oct. 21 concert was canceled due to 'a series of unfortunate events' in Monterrey and out of concern for fans" (Yahoo! News).
This is a tough situation for the group and for the people who had tickets to the show. However, safety is always a top priority with any celebrity, especially ones that will be performing in front of live audiences.
According to Yahoo! News, Monterrey used to be one of the safest places in Mexico, but now it is being overcome by drug trafficking and other drug related crimes. It's really unfortunate that the show had to be canceled and the fans are totally bummed out about it.
It's also a major loss for the JoBros, who will not only miss out on performing for tons of fans, but will lose a bit of money. According to the LA Times, "the concert cancellation comes at a loss of 22.5 million pesos, or about $1.8 million.
