Keira Knightley has chopped the long locks of hair in favor of a much shorter 1920's style bob. Knightley played the role of the gorgeous Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. When we first heard she had cut her hair, we admittedly thought this couldn't be good, and wondered why she would do it. Could it be a new movie she was doing?
According to InStyle, the new haircut wasn't done for a new movie, or for any other professional reason. Knightley has her own reason for the new style.
"'I had my hair bobbed about a month ago." As for the reason for such a drastic change in hair styles, she added, "I did it for myself".
We find the new cut to be extremely flattering to Keira, and while some may question her choice of hair styles, it allows her fans to see how beautiful she is with or without long hair.
Keira's next movie, Never Let Me Go is due out in January 2011, and looks to be an emotional tear jerker. Never Let Me Go was written by Kazuo Ishiguro and tells the story of students at a school in England, who are clones and have but one destiny. They are born to be organ donors. This looks to be one of next years best, and we certainly plan to see it regardless of Keira having long hair or not. The trailer can be viewed below for those interested.
So what do you think of Keira's new hair? Do you agree with us that the new style is flattering, or do you prefer the styles of her past? Chime in and let us know!
