So I have been on Twitter for some time now, but I noticed that in many Tweets, people have a # before certain words. What does that mean? I do know that when there is a @ that links to someone else's Twitter page. Thanks for your help!

Kylee,
This is referred to as a 'hashtag', and is used to identify key words in your tweet that others might be searching for.
When you click on a hashtag, it will direct you to a search results page for that hashtag...showing you all recent tweets containing that key word.
