Our second runway was filled with Grandfathers of all types, shapes, and sizes. Some strangers, some gentle, some strong....but all loved in one way or another. It wasn't an easy choice choosing the "winners" as it story, photo, and image presented was a winner in my book.
For the story entries, we had R B and Bernard. R B's search for a lost Grandfather was both interesting and moving as a Stein was shared and pebbles given. Bernard's story of a Granddad who offered the advice of "stay away from trouble kid-o as it usually comes looking for you" had me smiling.
First Place ~ RB ~ Learning to Know G-Pa
Second Place ~ Bernard ~ Granddad Theme
The photo essay portion of the show was provided by Karen E, Karen Bevis, and Connie. All three of these were very good and it was very difficult to decide the order in which these three would place, however Karen E's interpretation of Grandfather was very original and creative. However, eventually a decision was made.
First Place ~ Karen E ~A GrandRamFather or a RamGrandFather or a GrrammmddFather
Second Place ~ Connie ~ Grandfather
Third Place ~ Karen Bevis ~ Papa
The next portion of the show was the photos submitted by Laurence N. and Gul Dixon. Both of these touched me in different ways, but evoke emotion nonetheless. Therefore, it was a tie of the two and you must take a look at them:
The shows finale goes to Ruthi C. for her creative image and poem entered. I greatly enjoyed this piece of art with the life stages of the Grandfather.
If you haven't had time to see these wonderful models, please go visit each of them. Our next model is Pet(s) and I am looking forward to all the models that will appear on the runway. Many thanks to those who are participating in the challenges or supporting others in Models Among Us.
