sidetick...giving it a second chance

as you may have read from quite a few people here on gather, myself included. that the site Sidetick.com was going the way of so many other "get paid to..." sites. by adding the requirement of "surveys' which were actually offers to be able to earn on there. well i guess the resounding amount of people who bailed and sounded off to this was enough to make them change it back.

so i have decided that im going to give them a second chance and hang out there a bit still....ill probably just get to my first payout and then bail. but hey...so heres to giving them a second chance. hoping my trust isnt misplaced..

Hm....I haven't been to Sidetick in so long I wasn't aware of the whole "survey" thing.

I don't know if I'll bother with it.

I got paid recently and I still go there. I am so glad that they stopped those "surveys"! But, now, I hear that they're cracking down on spam blogs. I think they're starting to crack down on cheaters, which is good because it drains their money. I hope they figure out a way to increase their revenue without encouraging people to download dangerous software.

how about making people share photos that they actually own the right too? most all the "photo albums" on there are the result of a google image search pirated and uploaded to sidetick...

Yeah, that's a big problem, but it was also a big problem on Gather a few years back. I think they can only fix one thing at a time and are a little overwhelmed as the site has suddenly grown very large. They may get to that problem in the future.

im only sharing things i own on there, but it makes me worry for their security...i only share low res versions of my stuff on the internet in general, but still...

I recently joined, but those "surveys" were annoying! I might cash-out once & then split.

I tried a paid survey taking site. Most, if not all, of the surveys required you to buy into a program to complete the survey.

Yep, I joined a few of them myself. Now, I don't bother with their bogus surveys.
