I was here, I was really here. It was hard to believe and my heart was racing as I listened to the announcer.
“Attention patrons, the 25th annual Scar Wars is about to begin. Alien warriors from around the galaxy participate in the ultimate display of battle scars, disfigurements and mutilations. Our three judges will mark them on prominence and quality until only one remains standing!”
I was ready and I felt good about my chances. With the facial disfigurement, three missing tentacles and that twelve inch Ubalian knife scar across my back, I had a shot at the semi-finals.
