It was announced yesterday that Hollywood leading man Tony Curtis has passed. He was known for his roles in “Some Like It Hot†and “Spartacusâ€. He has been a staple of the silver screen since the 1950’s. He was also the father of Jamie Lee Curtis. For these reasons and many more he will not be forgotten.
One thing Tony Curtis was well known for was his unique line delivery. He had an unmistakable accent that made him a subject of ridicule but also made him unique. The most quoted line has been, ““Yondah lies the castle of my faddah,†from the film "Son of Ali Baba."
People is reporting that the memorial service for Curtis will take place Monday. He was living in Nevada at the time of his death and the funeral will take place in Las Vegas at Palm Mortuary and Cemetery. The Curtis family is asking that mourners not send flowers but make a charitable contribution to the Shiloh Horse Rescue.
