The office building where shock jock Howard Stern broadcasts his raunchy and rude radio show, has just joined the list of New York office buildings plagued by bedbugs. Stern told his Sirius XM radio show listeners that the studio had to be fumigated this weekend, after an infestation was discovered. He also said that his limo had to be treated as well, after bug-sniffing dogs discovered evidence of the pest.

While the bedbug problem seems to be an issue all over the country, New York is considered to be the focal point of the outbreak. So far, the epidemic has affected countless businesses including Macy's, Bloomingdale’s, and Nike Town. It has manifested in theaters, hotels and luxury apartment complexes.
While New York is first place on Terminex's Top Cities For Bedbug Infestations, the problem is nationwide and chronic. Pest control companies are reporting an increase in business ever since the problem reared it's ugly head a year ago. The most infested cities are:
1. New York
2. Philadelphia
3. Detroit
4. Cincinnati
5. Chicago
Unfortunately, environments such as the one Stern works in is a hot-bed for bugs because there are people coming in and out, travelling to and fro, not aware that they are transporting them. As a side note, perhaps Stern should take more care in what activities take place in the studio and who he allows to disrobe and make-out there. It's just a thought.
