Fans of the FOX musical comedy-drama (also known as a "dramedy") series Glee had reason to be filled with glee Wednesday night. That was because the popular series kicked off its second season.
The episode, "Audition," found everyone back at McKinley High after summer vacation. Things open with blogger/school gossip Jacob Ben Israel catches viewers up on what has been going on during the summer. From Rachael and Finn spending the summer dating to Brittany being lost in the sewers, the summer has been a busy one.
Although club sign-ups are underway, no one is rushing to join the glee club. That is due to New Directions' rather embarrassing third-place finish at regionals.
Sue is, of course, back this season (as if the show would be the same without her!). Her barbs are as sharp as ever.
Viewers were treated to renditions of "Empire State of Mind" (the Jay-Z/Alicia Keys' song), "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" (a classic Guns 'n' Roses' tune), "Billionaire," "Telephone," and "Listen." The episode ended with "What I Did For Love (A Chorus Line)," which was performed by Rachael as a way of asking forgiveness of the group for behaving so badly and trying to sabotage the group.
Next week, it is "Britney/Brittany," which is the Britney Spears' tribute episode.
Are you a Gleek?
