Britain's Prince William has completed his training and is now a certified search-and-rescue pilot.
William worked hard over seven months and put more than 70 hours of training in to earn his certificate and badge. He will now be flying co-pilot with in a Sea King helicopter as part of a four-man crew based at RAF Valley in Anglesey on the north west coast of Wales. The eldest heir to the throne is now known as Flight Lt. William Wales, while flying.
"The course has been challenging, but I have enjoyed it immensely," said William, 28.
"I absolutely love flying," he added, "so it will be an honor to serve operationally with the search and rescue force, helping to provide such a vital emergency service."
It's really great that William is doing his part to help others. It seems that he, like his late mother Princess Diana, sincerely wants to help others. He's a great role model to the youth of the world and it shows that some heirs want to do more than party and hang around the royal homes.
