Randy Quaid and his spouse, Evi Quaid, were arrested for burglary misdemeanor charges. Â Actor Quaid and is wife were taken into police custody on felony burglary allegations they were living in a non-commercial building without consent. Â The Quaid's mug shot was provided as a public record by authorities from previous arrests.
Burglary arrest details
According to a report from TBO, Randy Quaid and and his wife, Evi were arrested for burglary charges stemming from an owners complaint of squatters living in their dwelling. Â Upon arrival, deputies discovered "National Lampoon's" Randy Quaid and his wife Evi living in the dwelling. Â They both stated they had been the owners of the property since the early 1990's.
However, burglary charges were assessed against Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid after the owner of the property produced documents that showed they purchased the home the Quaid's once owned in 2007.
Accordingly, police took both Randy Quaid and his partner into custody and booked them both with felony burglary and misdemeanor charges. Â Furthermore, the Quaids were charged with entering a noncommercial building without consent. Â Randy Quaid's wife was also charged with resisting arrest.
The Randy Quaid burglary is not the first time the "LBJ" and "Independence Day" star has had trouble with the law.
A sting of arrests for the Quaids
According to EOnline, both Randy Quaid and his wife were both charged last year with defrauding an inkeeper of over $10K involving an invalid credit card. Â The felony charges were later dropped when Quaid plead guilty to lesser misdemeanor charges and was placed on probation.
