Bill Maher drops the N-Word on Larry King Show

Bill Maher is a friend of Minorities : Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Native Americans, etc ... and a defender of their rights.

Bill Maher used the N word in a context of defending Obama against those that can not hide their contempt and hate against the President for being "Black" ( he is also "White" in the same proportion but the haters do not acknowledge that, because for them Obama is only "Black" and period ).

Bill Maher is a Superb Editorialist, Comedian, TV Anchor, Larry King is also a man of compassion, commiseration, benevolence and humanity for others ( like Bill Maher ).

I take off my hat before these two Great Men and before a Great President of the USA : Mr Obama.

Vincente thanks for your comments.. I think people would understand what he meant without using the full word. Maher has dated black women and I don't think he'd ever refer to them using the word.

Haters and I do not include myself as a hater may only aknowledge that the president is black but Obama himself stated on The View that he only refers to himself as black.

This is typical of Maher as an individual. This is a man that openly admits that he is stoned when he goes on air so what do you expect. His self righteousness is his undoing. He can insult people of faith and those of opposing views, but he is chastised for using the "N" word? The man is a "TOTAL" insult to anyone that is capable of independent thought. He is neither thought provoking or entertaining. He is an insult to human intelligence. He is the last of his kind however. Society is finally moving away from insult style commentary. HBO? It has less viewers these days than MSNBC. You are obviously one of his devotees. Watch what you want, but come November don't whine because the liberals will have their hats handed to them. With a fan base such as Maher, then it is easy to make the choice. Really? Where's your proof of that statement? I provided a transcript from the Larry King interview where Maher clearly stated why he was fired. After the 9/11 comment, sponsers backed out of the show. ABC didn't care if Maher's comments were right or wrong, they just wanted their money. They didn't stand up for free speech like HBO has. Do you have some inside information about ABC that you're not sharing? Perhaps you could provide a link that shows a statement from ABC as to why they fired Maher? Good luck. I hear black people use this word everyday amd it is in most all rap songs so why does it become a big deal when a white person uses it? Especially when the contaxt he uses it is a lot less offensive than what it is in the "music" or everyday conversation by black people?

Good points Dave. Most of that music you're speaking of comes with a label, even though it does very little to prevent younger listeners from getting a hold of it. Still I don't think that makes use of a racial slur justified.

Thanks for your comment Doc...I don't think we hear the word used on TV much at all by anyone, and when it is used, it's generally censored out. Of course some cable channels get away with more though.

I do know that some people who use words of hate to make fun of one another try to circumvent the power of the original word by using it juxtaposed for dude, friend, guy, etc... Actually Kenny, intelligent people know there are better ways to emphasize a point without having to resort to using guttural language. The use of that word in any context is meant to trigger emotional responses and not cerebral responses.
