Judd Apatow is lining up the cast for his next big comedy feature release from Universal Pictures, and today there is news of a new addition to his production project. Who did he manage to snag to appear?
Malin Akerman Joins "Wanderlust"
According to Variety, Malin Akerman has been signed on to join an already star studded cast for this one from Apatow. No word on what part Akerman will play in the feature, but that is soon to come.
Akerman has been busy lately. She will premiere"The Big Bang Club at the Toronto International Film Festival, and she recently signed on for another project opposite Ethan Hawke. That one is titled 'Numbers Station."
Production just wrapped up for her on "Catch 44" with Bruce Willis, and she is currently seen in "The Romantics" opposite Katie Holmes. Know what this means? Expect to see a lot of her in the time to come!
"Wanderlust" Basics & Cast - Aniston & Rudd, oh my!
As for the basic plot of "Wanderlust," it follows a married couple that want to make a big change and get out of the city. In order to escape, they leave New York, and this is where the comedy hijinks ensue.
The married couple in this Apatow film are played by Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. Also a part of the cast are Justin Theroux and Lauren Ambrose. No word on when this one will head into production yet! Casting is still on-going. David Wain will direct though, and the script is being penned by Ken Marino.
