Former All-Star and fan favorite in Philadelphia Allen Iverson may be headed to play basketball over seas in China. Iverson was one of the best players in the NBA a few years back, and has had a great career but it seems no NBA teams want to take a chance on him this season.
Gary Moore, Iverson's personal manager, said Iverson has not been contacted by any NBA team with training camps set to open in less than two weeks.
"We're very astonished, to say the least, that not one team has contacted us with any interest," Moore said. "I just don't understand it." (Sportsline)
Wow! Moore doesn't understand it, but fans do. Maybe it has something to do with Iverson's actions in Detroit. He came to the Pistons to replace fan favorite Chauncy Billups. After his entertaining press conference where Iverson even poked fun of himself with his "We talking about practice" line he acted like he was ready to help the Pistons make a title run, but he seemed like he really didn't want to be here.
It looks like Iverson's troubled past has caught up to him, and now not a single NBA team wants to take a shot with signing him.
If you were a G.M., would you take a chance and sign A.I.?
