$12 Million for J-Lo as American Idol Judge

J-Lo will be paid $12 million per year as an American Idol judge. The deal has been sealed, making Jennifer Lopez the latest confirmation in the American Idol lineup of judges.

According to Popeater, while the ink is barely dry and no one from either J-Lo's representatives or FOX has confirmed the news, that it is in fact official.

TMZ is also confirming that Jennifer Lopez has signed a 1-year contract with American Idol. Now the question remains, will there be a fourth judge on American Idol this season, or will the show go back to its original format of just three judges?

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has been telling friends and colleagues that he will be Simon Cowell's replacement, which of course still hasn't been confirmed by FOX, but has been by Tyler's reps.

Will There Be 4 Judges?

Will there be a 4th American Idol judge? If so, who might be in the running for the slot? Do you think American Idol needs a 4th judge? Can the show pull its weight with Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and J-Lo?

Auditions have started in various cities for contestants for the upcoming season. Maybe the TV audience will have to wait until the new season starts to really know for sure who will be seated in the judge's chairs.

I think she might be interesting as a judge. Hopefully, she'll be honest and not timid like past judges.

I know what you mean. I love Ellen DeGeneres, but she has admitted she just couldn't hurt people's feelings.

Four judges are too many. I think three is sufficient. Steven Tyler is a good choice, but I'm not at all thrilled with J-Lo. Too bad they couldn't get Quincy Jones to do it.
