The Academy Award-Winning actress Penelope Cruz concealed her pregnancy of 4 1/2 months because she and her spouse Javier Bardem are viciously private.  On a recent filming on the set of Johnny Depp's new "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", Penelope Cruz donned a flowing top that concealed her baby bump.  Little did the paparazzi and onlookers know, Penelope Cruz was pregnant, now 4 1/2 months, according to CBS News.
To rule out any speculation stemming from the so-called-baby-bump that fueled speculation that Penolope Cruz was pregnant, her rep was consulted. Â The representative for the Academy Award-Winning couple, confirmed to People, that Penelope Cruz and her husband of two months, Javier Bardem, are 4 1/2 months pregnant with their first child.
From movie set to 4 1/2 months "baby-bump"
The 4 1/2 months pregnant actress, Penelope Cruz, 36, and Javier Bardem 41, met 18 years ago while on location for the film "Jamon, Jamon". Â After a long friendship and after starring aside one another in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona", a Woody Allen film, the couple began a private romance, according to the New York Daily News.
The now expecting mom-to-be won an Oscar that year for "Best Supporting Actress", while in the same year, Javier Bardem won "Best Supporting Actor" for his role in the 2007 film, 'No country for Old Men".
Bardem's sister, Monica, said of the 4 1/2 months pregnant couple, that they both love each other dearly based on their long time together. Â It would be only "natural" for them to have children. Â Now that Penelope Cruz is 4 1/2 pregnant, her legion of fans await the name and sex of the Academy Award-Winning duo's new baby.
