If your parents are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, why not write a book? And why not make it about growing up Scwarzenegger... and tell us, can you even understand your father's accent?
Katherine Schwarzenegger has written her first book, but to the surprise of many, it's not about growing up with Kennedy blood. It's about body image.
"Schwarzenegger says part of the motivation for the book was overhearing her preteen cousins talk about their desire to be thin and 'sexy.' She's also faced her own battle with self-esteem as a teenager in the public eye" (The Associated Press).
The book is titled, Rock What you've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who’s Been There and Back - say that five times fast. So far the book isn't getting over the moon reviews, but the people reviewing aren't the target demographic for the self help book.
This book has the potential to reach out to high school students, who seem to be the most swept up in body image.
We'll see if Katherine takes after her mommy with a successful writing gig.
