Hey there, what's that sound? Hold onto your hats Buffalo Springfield fans. It's the sound of Neil Young reuniting with his old Buffalo Springfield band buddies after four decades for a benefit concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California this October. The purpose of the annual Bridge School Benefit, founded by Neil Young, is to raise funds for handicapped children.
Stephen Stills and Richie Furay are expected to be on hand. Two other members of the 60's group, Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin have both passed away. Joe Vitale and Rick Rosas are expected to sit in for the original band members who will be missed by fans.
Richie Furay who is now the senior pastor at the Calvary Chapel in Broomfield Colorado, says he got an email from Neil that simply said "Call me". Then Furay, Stills and Young hashed it over in a conference call.
Many of us will envy those of you who can squeeze into your old bell bottoms and make it to this event that is for a very worthy cause.
