Actor James Franco is speaking out against rumors that he may be homosexual. In a new interview Franco is quoted as saying, "Everyone thinks I'm a stoner, and some people think I'm gay because I've played these gay roles. That's what people think, but it's not true. I don't smoke pot. I'm not gay. But on another level, there's something in me that is able to play roles like that in a way that's convincing" (via USA Today).
Franco played the partner of Harvey Milk (Sean Penn), in the film Milk, which initially began the rumors. However, Franco has a girlfriend, and is just comfortable with his sexuality. This comfort so to speak, is the reason that Franco is able to portray a homosexual man so well.
Franco also told the magazine that if he understands why people think that he's in denial. "I guess the reason I wouldn't is because I'd be worried that it would hurt my career. I suppose that's the reason one wouldn't [come out], right?" (via Radar Online).
Franco, 32, is also in the new film Eat, Pray, Love, alongside beauty Julia Roberts.
Gay or straight, Franco is cute and he's a good actor!
