Country pop singer Taylor Swift and the Dave Matthews Band were both on hand Thursday to help kick off the NFL Season for 2010-11. Both acts performed live prior to the start of the first game of the season, featuring a rematch from last year's NFC Championship game, with the Minnesota Vikings battling the New Orleans Saints.
Out in the French Quarters of New Orleans, sensation Taylor Swift performed her current hit single entitled "Mine" prior to the football game. The song is the first to come from Swift's upcoming album "Speak Now," due to be released next month. She also sang her hit song "You Belong to Me" from "Fearless." The great thing about the performances, Taylor didn't use lip syncing, which many pop singers enlist for these sorts of performances. Instead she sang her own songs and got the crowd into it before the game. Taylor also looked great in a sparkly silver dress and necklace as she rocked the stage (pictured).
Taylor Swift is due to be a part of this Sunday's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. Also in attendance will be Kanye West, the rap star who interrupted her during her first official video music award win last year. West had reportedly created a special apology song just for Swift which according to a source Taylor wants no part of.
