Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi was in court today, facing charges to which she pled not guilty to misdemeanor charges involving her disorderly conduct on the beach a few weeks ago.
Her attorney spoke on her behalf (naturally), praising her for her generally good behavior and her dedication to animals. He asked the judge that she be minimally punished, perhaps with a fine and some community service. The prosecution had a laid back rebuttal, also agreeing that a monetary fine and community service be the punishment.
The judge asked if Snooki had anything to say before he made his decision. She said, in Snooki fashion, "Yeah, I'd like to apologize to the Seaside Cops." She also said she wanted to apologize to "anyone that [she] hurt."
The judge spoke next, questioning whether or not Snooki's actions on the beach that day were scripted, to which she shook her head and said, "no it wasn't." The judge than called her a "Lindsay Lohan wannabe" before sentencing her to a $500 fine, two days of community service (one of which was completed at a zoo last week), and a $33 court fee. She was acquitted.
