I've heard a lot of complaints about the current economy, which came as a result of decisions made during the last administration, but the right-wingers and tea partiers blame Obama.
I think now, before the next election, is a good to look back and refresh our memories about the Bush administration and the economy that they left us with.
From the January 9, 2009 Wall Street Journal : "The current President Bush, taking account how long he's been in office, shows the worst track record for job creation since the government began keeping records."
Â
It's amazing how short the memories are of people on the right. They forget how bad things were under Bush. But perhaps they didn't forget. Perhaps they didn't even realize it then, since they were all listening to the lies on Faux News.

How to make a Neocon ecstatic with Joy. ::: Introduce him to his father.
That's a lesson well-learned by the majority of US citizens. They all voted for Obama. So now come the lies the GOP uses to manipulate their constituents. Unfortunately, they are being joined by a number of Democrats, Libertarians, Independents, and a media that is trying to out-do one another. God help us!

It is clear that you are one who has bought in to a lot of the propaganda, but you have a right to your opinion.
As for the deficit and the national debt--are you aware that much of our national debt comes from the wars that GWB got us into? He took the country into a $5 trillion national debt.
And no, it isn't only him to blame. But he was President over the last decade and it is those problems that occurred under Bush that Obama is dealing with now. I wouldn't want the job that he has.

LIBERTY CANNOT THRIVE WITHOUT JUSTICE.
Tax cuts for the rich. Trade policies that benefit the already rich. Unfunded war on demand. Incursions on individual privacy. Dictatorial governing. Isolationist decision making. Cowboy elitism. Reduced government services for the public. Use of public resources for purely partisan projects. Expansion of government power over the people; and less government oversight over industry.
See, you gave me an opportunity to defend my comment with Pro Obama commentary. I love you both for it.
First and foremost, the Federal Reserve is the primary culprit; and second, the government, with the full support of Wall Street. Both Bush, previous presidents, Congress and probably the Scotus each share some blame. And so does Obama, for supporting actions that make the crisis worse, and fueling the next bubble. This bubble may pop before the next presidential election. It's hard to time it, but there's no doubt it exists.
We are just going in circles, Obama is repeating the same Bush mistakes.
Thanks for posting this to 4 US, World News & Opinions.
Anhd the GOP like those days, Just think a moment about that thought.Interesting that the people bashing Obama over this are the same ones who bashed Clinton, who actually balanced the budget, and when Clinton left office the projection was that our national debt would be at zero in ...2010.
A couple things should be noted. Although Bush complained that he was saddled with a recession, we didn't go into recession until the end of Bush's first year in office.
Also: While we can't say exactly where we're going with the Obama administration, we can see what's happened in the past with ideas like Reagan's trickle down economics and Bush's feed the rich plan: Since WWII not one Republican administration had a better job growth record than the Democratic administration with the worst job growth record.
I'd like to hear something about the factors that contribute to this, relating to our current situation rather than the phony slogan: "Obama's a socialist."
As far as Obama and taxes, you may not remember but Obama lowered taxes when he took office. They are still in effect. However, the taxes on the richest will go up. If you fall into that category, sorry. But taxes on the rich were the lowest they have ever been under Bush and the money did not trickle down.
Socialist? Do you consider Social Security as socialist? Medicare?
