Alright, fans of Shakira. She is getting ready to release her next all-new album on October 19th. This time it is another Spanish language effort, which she plans to support with a world tour that kicks off later this month in Montreal. The singer takes to the stage for the first time on this tour adventure titled 'Tour of Earthly Delights' on September 15th.
"Sale el Sol" is the effort from the singer, and the first single is a track titled "Loca." Earlier this week, the singer released the cover art for both the new album and the new single, but not only that she started to stream the first single on her personal website. There are plans to release an English language track of "Loca" as well.
The singer spent time in Barcelona last month where she filmed the music video for the "Loca" track, but she landed herself in some hot water with Barcelonian authorities for performing some illegal acts during filming. One of them being dancing in a public fountain. No word yet on just how much the singer may be fine. Rock band U2 was recently fined by the city for an earlier incident in the amount of $22,000.
The release of "Loca" comes on the heels of another release from Shakira. Her song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup is still on top of the European Hot 100 Singles Billboard chart. "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" has spent the last six weeks at number one.
Loca features vocals from Dizzie Rascal as well. He had this to say about his involvement, according to CMU: "[Shakira's a] nice girl to work with - it was easy. It was one of those ones off the cuff, 'Oh, do you want to work with Shakira, she's in town?' Yeah!"
